Thus Spoke Zarathustra

Zarathustra_Sm.jpg

Zarathustra, the central character in Friedrich Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra, is a philosophical prophet who embodies Nietzsche's ideals of self-overcoming and the pursuit of individual greatness. After spending ten years in solitude on a mountain, Zarathustra descends to share his transformative ideas with humanity. He is a visionary figure who rejects conventional religious and moral systems, urging others to embrace their own power and creativity in life. Zarathustra’s teachings center around the concept of the Übermensch (Overman), a higher state of being that transcends the limitations of society, religion, and traditional morality. Throughout the book, Zarathustra struggles with isolation, doubt, and the challenge of guiding others while seeking to realize his own philosophy of life.

My Zarathustra sits upon the mountain of his glowing library of knowledge. He is strong, resolute in his knowledge and the surrounding elements display his evolution towards the Ubermensch. The beauty of the elements flowing about him display his position and prominence in the world.
