Myself As Man Becoming Schooner
In 2003 there was a Surrealist Ball held in Williamsburg, NY. The show was supposed to have Giger, Ernst Fuchs and much more there. I decided I'll show them who is a surrealist and built a costume to mimic Dali's Man becoming a Schooner, the mast was formed as a backbone which was mounted at my hips...it made an amazing scene. Unfortunately none of the headliners showed up for the ball and it was full of unicorns and fairies who knew nothing about surrealism.
Diane and I in Atlanta
Headed to the Dali opening at the High Museum. I constructed a tuxedo of fast moving molecules, and, flies of course. At first it alarmed Diane that I was "Wrecking a perfect Tuxedo", but the final product made her understand I had to do it.
Molecular Structure
I also made this large molecular structure to wear at the High opening. There were many admirers, but the most rewarding thing of the evening was when, taking the structure to store it, Diane said, "You are a very interesting man"
Molecular Headdress
The High hired me to talk at an event called Friends of Dali. For this event I made a headdress of the molecular structure which was a complete cube. I wore the molecule during my entire talk and posed in front of the Raphalesque Madonna by Dali that inspired the building of such a headdress

Tuxedo with Drawers
For the opening of Dali and Cinema at MoMA in NY, I made a Tux that had drawers on its arms, and legs. Even the tie had a row of drawers. The tux was a big hit and drew lots of attention.

Wore the tux on the train to NY and took this shot upon arrival

After exchanging emails on Saturday, I got an email early Sunday morning asking where I lived. What I did'nt know was that Kris was in Wash., DC repacking a show, finding I was in CT he simply told me he will see me later, Kris pulled his van in the driveway for a pvt show

Dali Tapestry
When I helped Dali set up parts of his Museum in Figueres, one of the things I helped with was hanging the first of these Persistance of Memory Tapestries. I loved it. When one recently came up on ebay, I was able to make a deal with the owner and it now hangs in our living room.....where I still love it
Marilyn in Progress
As I near the completion of the Warhol part of my Marilyn, and approach the Dalinian section, I have Marilyn and I wear urchin exoskeletons, to prepare.

The Battle of Las Meninas
For two months I battled my Las Meninas, as the hand maidens harassed and mocked me...I could not win with the perspective masterpiece with a simple mahl and paintbrush...it got to the point where I considered bringing an actual weapon to face them....what I did not know was that all I needed was an Octopus, who carried and lived in the grays, silvers and umbers of Velazquez. Watch soon for the unveiling soon.
